This set of coffee and tea pieces is part of the Silo line - designed for the Portuguese Language Museum. The museum, characterized by the cylindrical shapes of grain silos, had a decisive influence on the morphology of these pieces. This resulted in the design of a set of glass pieces that essentially convey the feeling of lightness and transparency, but at the same time resistant and easy to use. It is a set of practical pieces for everyday use. We chose to develop a double wall of Borosilicate glass, resistant to high temperatures, with high resistance and hardness - it is a recyclable material and allows use in the microwave. We sought a balanced relationship between the various elements that make up these pieces, which required constant control of the dimensions and the relationship between them. The combination of resistance and lightness gave us the premises to design this set.
