The Silo series presents a line of furniture designed for the Portuguese Language Museum. The museum, due to the different programmatic units, required a multifaceted design of this chair. Thus, variations of the same chair were designed - with and without arms and a lounge version - allowing its use throughout the building. This chair results from the search for harmony between comfort and elegance. It consists of a single material: hard maple wood, providing a natural wood finish and a pleasant feeling of comfort. Its design and robustness allow this chair to be used in a wide range of environments - the spacious seat and the specific location of the back allow it to be used not only as an office/dining chair, but also as a lounge chair. The search for a balanced relationship between the various elements that make up this chair - seat, back, arms - required constant control of its dimensions and the formal relationship between them.
